A couple of weeks ago, I was graced with the privilege of being a invited as a special guest to the ‘Passion For Fashion’ Sunday brunch/fashion show, which took place at the Uluru Bar & Grill in Armagh city. The event was fabulously co-ordinated by the lovely Denise Curran, thus making this her third fashion show at the Uluru; one of which was also an evening show, consisting of champagne and canapés.
This event grandly showcased gorgeous and unique designs, which were supplied by well-regarded local boutiques and shops in the Armagh area. These included: Crystal Boutique; Simply Pink; The Dressing Room; and Allens of Caledon. Alongside chic day-wear and classy cocktail dresses, there were also many glamorous occasion-outfits – which were perfect for events such as ‘the races’ or a wedding. Many of these outfits were also fabulously matched with unique headpieces.
The show was also hosted by the beautiful and brilliant make-up artist, Kerri-Ann Harvey. All guests were also treated to a special make-up demonstration by Kerri-Ann; where she taught us how to create a soft, yet glamorous make-up look which would be suitable for any special occasion. All of the models’ hairstyles were also created by the talented, Sveta, from Brian Martin Hair Salon. Sveta also demonstrated her hair-styling skills on one model for all guests, displaying how she creates a stunning braided-updo for a special event.
This was a fantastically enjoyable fashion show for all who were present, illustrating Denise’s skill and talent as an event planner. The afternoon finished with myself choosing the two best-dressed ladies from among the guests (even though I wish I could’ve chose them all!). I highly recommend to watch-out for more styling events to pop-up in the Armagh area for AW16 – these are a brilliant opportunity, to see what gorgeous and stunning pieces are available from independent stores in your locality!
