I can honestly say that I am whole heartedly completely-and-utterly-and-well-and-truly sick of illness (excuse the pun). You have no idea how much I can’t wait for the day when I can order a Domino’s and totally demolish it – It’s that wishful thought which pulls me through this misery. However I want to thank everyone who has wished me well. I still have a little way to go, but all good things happen in good time! At least, that’s what I’m trying to tell myself.
Anyway, before I veer off in a tangent again, I have decided to share something which is very special to me today. As you have probably already gathered from the looming title of this post, it’s my final portfolio images!
For those who probably have no idea what I’m talking about; this summer I have been studying Fashion Styling at LA College of Creative Arts in Dublin. Throughout my time in this course, I was required to completely style two different fashion shoots of my creation, which when then be used for my portfolio as a stylist. That means that I was solely in charge of the entire photoshoot: I produced a theme, supplied the clothing and provided a model. I also directed the make-up artist, hair stylist and photographer; ensuring that they create the exact look which I instructed upon them.
Whilst all of that does sound like heavy duty and a lot of responsibility, I enjoyed every moment of it. Each one of the people that I worked with on both shoots were ever-so accommodating and wonderful. It was very exciting and thrilling to watch these talented individuals slowly mould an image which you have in your mind, right before your very eyes – and make it even better than you imagined! I also loved the fast-paced and creative environment that I was thrown into, which stimulated and drove me to determination. And I want to thank each one of those people who made it as fun as it was, as it was by them that the enjoyment was possible.
Now I don’t want this post to be pages and pages long, with the possibility of blowing-up some of your smartphones if you even try to load it; so I’m going to wrap it up quickly now, and allow you to actually view the portfolio photos in question. I hope you’ll enjoy!
