Embroidered Jeans & Waterfall Coat

Good morning, guys!

When I said I was back blogging, I meant it. Expect much more frequent posts on my Katwalk, as it was becoming stale with oldies. A lot is definitely going to change around here! (Envisage my ‘I’m being serious’ face). So I’m here again with another outfit post for you; OOTD, street style, look of the day… Whatever you prefer to call it. I love shooting and creating these types of posts, and you seem to enjoy reading them. So it’s a win-win situation for me!

Since my last post was a very “red carpet” style, I’m sharing something a little more “low-key” with you today. Or, at least, my version of “low-key”. This is something I’d typically wear if I was heading out for the day (for example, if I was meeting a friend for lunch). So I hope you like it!

Oh, and before I carry on further – I have to thank Liam McArdle for taking these beautiful photographs for me. That morning he’d actually ran a half marathon, and was fresh-as-a-daisy that afternoon when we met to snap these photos. If I’d ran sixteen miles, I know I’d definitely be asleep on my sofa afterwards. So thank you once again, Liam!

I purchased this green waterfall coat from Missguided last month, and I’ve been wearing it religiously ever since. It’s a great piece to just throw-on at any given time, and the colour seems to match all my clothes. Plus, it’s not to heavy to wear in the upcoming Spring/Summer months. I’ve been pairing it with my beloved khaki heeled-boots recently, as it ties both colours together and creates a more ‘together’ ensemble.

But my favourite piece from this look has to be these gorgeous jeans from Boohoo. These are my most recent purchase from the outlet, and I’m obsessed with them. I adore the Parisian effect of the embroidery, plus the price tag was very appealing! I’ve only worn these a few times, and I’ve already received a handful of compliments. Of course, my parents don’t understand the distressed, or ‘ripped’, jeans trend whatsoever. But I personally love that edgy look.

And, because black matches everything, I decided to wear this little crochet top and little duffle bag. I know it’s not exactly a “heading to the prom!” type of look. But, let’s be honest, this is a lot more wearable. I’d like to include a whole variety of styles on my blog from this point on. And since I’ve been wearing this look a lot lately, I thought it’s a great place to start!

Until next time, my loves.

X
