Hello everyone! As previously promised, I’m back, and I have a new street style for you. If you have read my last blog post, you may remember how I was suffering from the “Oh My God, I Need More Party Dresses” disease (warning: it’s contagious). But as opposed to the high-class and luxurious look which I was aiming for with that particular ensemble, this time I have opted for something a little more understated. Well, understated in my way anyway.
My starting mission for creating this look was to find an adequate dress. For me, there was only one style for achieving this goal: The skater dress. In my opinion, the skater shape is the most versatile dress in it’s styles; from floaty summer frocks to flared party numbers, there is a skater dress to suit every occasion.
Whilst I felt that the warm nude undertones of this particular edition by Forever Unique are quite complimentary towards my red colouring, It was the curve-hugging shape aided by the black leather waist that sealed the deal. As well as being flattering for your body; when paired with a zip at the back, killer shoe boots by ASOS, quilted River Island purse, and strikingly big sunglasses – this a street-style which screams “effortless cool” at unsuspecting passers-by…
Of course, this is just the standard aura of that girl who can pull-off wearing sunglasses casually; the most dangerous type of lady. A look that I can only pretend to be able to get away with. But hey, you can’t blame a girl for trying!
